The family business was founded in 1909 and is now run by the fifth generation. Many years in the industry have given us a solid knowledge base that evolves in tandem with societal changes and technological advancements, as well as shifting behaviour patterns and requirements. Our fuel systems are manufactured in our own production facility on the west coast of Sweden. Development is based on our extensive knowledge of fuel and the environment, combined with innovation and construction technology. Our history Since the start in 1909, Malte has been run by the same family. The business is characterised by tradition and professional pride that guarantees quality, integrity and expertise. 1909 Forging work was the focus when the business started. 1921 The year of the first fuel installation in Skottorp in southern Halland. In the years that followed, many competencies were developed under a common management, but after the oil crises of the 1970s and 80s and new fuel requirements, our business focused on fuel facilities. 1991 We became the first company in Europe with an approved system for petrol gas recirculation stage 2. This solution achieved great success in Europe, with customers like Statoil, Shell, BP, Moll and AGIP. 1997 The year marked our largest project ever when we delivered gas recirculation to Shell Netherlands. 2000 We merged with two other businesses and now covered all of Scandinavia. 2016 After selling off subsidiaries and making some adjustments to the business, Malte Fuel & Wash was formed, with new co-owners Therese and Daniel Salomonsson. 2023 As part of our growth journey, the business changed its name to Malte Group. 2024 In a generational shift, Magnus Persson sold his share of the business to Daniel and Therese. Magnus continues in the role of Senior advisor to pass on his important knowledge to other employees. We look forward with excitement to celebrating new anniversaries in the business and a future where the Scandinavian fuel market will take great strides toward new fuels.
